Longfellow is a Maya
Aj'q'ij (ahk qik) from the Maya Mam
people of Guatemala, who travels worldwide giving spiritual teachings
and sharing the Cosmovision of her ancestors.The Maya use the word "Maya" (vs Mayan) when speaking of their tribe. An Aj'q'ij is an indigenous Maya lineage carrier whom has mastered the extensive scientific and humanistic ancestral Cosmovision of his or her tribe. The Maya elders are giving the teachings relevant to the Earth changing energies, and which relate directly to the times we are in. The Mam peoples are the Knowledge Keepers. you may listen to the Archive here. "The Sacred Maya Cholqij Calendar" Mercedes Longfellow, Maya Mam Aj' qiq, will talk about the the Cholqij, one of the twenty sacred Maya calendars. The 260 day Cholqiq illustrates all of the possible variations of human experience as we journey through the cycle of our lives on Mother Earth. The 20 cosmic and telluric energies and the 13 forces of light of the Cholqij serve as guides for each lifetime and give us a map for navigating our spiritual missions. The Maya Elders emphasize the urgency for humanity to return to the sacred knowledge that is within our DNA. They see the Cholqij as one of the world's sacred technologies for aligning human beings with the Earth and the Cosmos. This realignment will give us the spiritual understanding needed for restoring the health and harmony of the natural environment and our relationships with each other and all life.
